The Western Arkansas Workforce Development Board announces the publication of the
Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Local-Region Plan update for Program Years
2024-2027. The Western Arkansas Workforce Development Board serves Crawford,
Franklin, Logan, Polk, Scott, and Sebastian Counties in Western Arkansas.
This plan is available to the public and all interested organizations for review and
comment for the next thirty (30) days commencing March 15, 2024, at the Western
Arkansas Planning and Development District, Inc. located at 1109 South 16th Street, Fort
Smith, AR 72901. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. The plan will
also be available on the web site at westernarkansasworks.com beginning on March 15,
2024.
Comments on the plan may be made in writing to the following address: Western
Arkansas Workforce Development Board, 1109 South 16th Street, Fort Smith, AR 72901.
All comments received before the close of business on April 14, 2024, will be included
with the plan when it is submitted to the Arkansas Workforce Development Board.
